Technical Analysis
- Support and Resistance: Support is at 0.6650 (a key level from April), with resistance at 0.6800 (a psychological and historical barrier).
- Ichimoku Cloud: The price is above the cloud, suggesting a bullish bias, but it’s approaching the upper cloud edge, which could act as resistance.
- ADX: The Average Directional Index is around 25, indicating a moderate trend strength, so a breakout or reversal could be brewing.
- Australian Economy: Strong employment data or rising commodity prices (like iron ore) could lift AUD. Weak data might push AUD/USD toward support.
- China’s Influence: As China is Australia’s largest trading partner, positive economic news from China could boost AUD demand.
- US Dollar: US employment data and Fed rate expectations will drive USD strength. A dovish Fed could weaken USD, supporting AUD/USD.
- Short-Term: If AUD/USD breaks above 0.6750, consider a buy targeting 0.6800, with a stop-loss below 0.6700.
- Long-Term: A drop below 0.6650 could signal a sell opportunity, targeting 0.6600, but wait for confirmation like a bearish candlestick pattern.
Always prioritize risk management—limit risk to 1-2% of your account per trade!
