Cloudheim is an ambitious early-access cooperative action RPG set across a series of floating islands where physics-driven combat, crafting, exploration, and skybound adventure blend into a chaotic but charming experience, and from the moment you begin your journey aboard the massive flying turtle Odin Shell the game pushes a sense of creativity and freedom through its whimsical environments and destructible battlegrounds, letting players use the world itself as a weapon by toppling pillars, kicking explosive barrels, throwing enemies, triggering traps, and unleashing class abilities that interact dynamically with physics to create unpredictable yet satisfying combat moments, and its cooperative focus allows up to four players to team up and share loot while experimenting with different classes like Runeblade, Sentinel, Breaker, or Ranger each offering unique playstyles and abilities that encourage teamwork and synergistic strategies, and the base-building elements on Odin Shell provide a cozy hub where players can craft equipment, cook meals, forge weapons, customize their headquarters, and even run a shop which adds layers of progression and personal expression to the overall journey, and although the game’s vibrant art style and creative world design help establish a charming identity the early-access nature becomes evident as technical issues frequently disrupt the flow with bugs such as clipping under the map, broken loot tables. Cloudheimlocked doors that shouldn’t be locked, server instability during co-op sessions, and glitches during area transitions that can lead to frustration especially when playing with friends, and many players have reported problems where dying or disconnecting can lead to corrupt progress or missing chests which makes long co-op runs feel risky, and while the combat system is undeniably fun due to its physics-heavy chaos it can also feel inconsistent or janky during crowded battles where enemy behavior or hit detection becomes unreliable, yet even with these shortcomings the game’s core loop of exploring floating islands, gathering resources, tackling dungeons, fighting imaginative enemies, and upgrading your sky fortress remains compelling for players who enjoy sandbox-style experimentation, and the soundtrack and atmospheric audio add charm to each island though some sound cues fail to sync properly in hectic fights, and despite the rough edges the developers clearly aim to build a robust and evolving world that encourages replayability through randomized encounters, diverse biome designs, and steady content updates planned throughout early access, but for now Cloudheim is best suited to players who enjoy chaotic, creative co-op fun and don’t mind dealing with occasional bugs or incomplete systems as the game continues to grow, while those seeking a polished, CloudheimStable RPG with tight mechanics may find the experience too inconsistent at this stage, yet beneath its technical flaws lies a foundation full of ...
