After this course, the student will: be familiar with equipment and terminology commonly used in the trucking industry. The student will learn about the different trailers that are commonly used in the trucking industry. In addition, the student will be able to identify various equipment that a truck driver may use to protect or secure their cargo. be familiar with the different documents that he or she may encounter and will learn the purpose of those documents. For example, the student will learn about documents such as a Certificate of Insurance. After completion of this course, the student will know when and how to request a Certificate of Insurance. In addition, the student will learn the information that must be added to the Certificate of Insurance before it can be sent to the freight broker. know how to source loads, use a load board, and determine if a load is good or notknow what to expect when interacting with freight brokershave a detailed understanding of each step of the dispatching processunderstand Hours of Service and how it affects the dispatcher.
