Core Idea
Fast Exponential Moving Average (8-period) crosses Slow Exponential Moving Average (21-period)
Works on almost any timeframe, but the two most profitable versions in 2025 are:
H1 (1-hour) – best risk/reward for swing/day traders
M15 (15-minute) – higher frequency, still clean signals
Best Currency Pairs (2025 performance ranking)
GBP/USD
EUR/USD
GBP/JPY
AUD/USD
USD/CAD
Exact Rules (H1 version – the “clean” one most pros use)
Long Entry
EMA 8 crosses ABOVE EMA 21
Price is above the 200 EMA (trend filter)
RSI (14) > 50 (momentum filter)
Optional but powerful: Wait for the first pullback to the 21 EMA and enter on bounce (increases win rate 8–12%)
Short Entry
EMA 8 crosses BELOW EMA 21
Price is below the 200 EMA
RSI (14) < 50
Stop-Loss
1.5 × ATR(14) or just below/above previous swing (whichever is closer)
Take-Profit
1:2 or 1:3 fixed RR
OR trail with 21 EMA (let winners run in strong trends)
M15 Aggressive Scalping Version (popular with prop traders)
Same 8/21 cross
No 200 EMA filter (too laggy on low TF)
Add 50 EMA as dynamic support/resistance
Enter only in direction of the H4 trend

Add confluence: If cross happens at daily S/R or round number (1.2000, 1.3500 etc.) → double position size
