How to know what proxies I need?

Hello, I have always bought proxies but I really don't know which ones I need to use with checkers, etc.

I read residential proxies, isp, rotating... Which ones do I really need for this purpose?

In addition to this, what differences in use do I find between http/s, socks4, socks5...?

Thank you very much to those who give me some help, I have searched for information but I never finish clarifying myself.

In summary, the type of proxies you need depends on what you will be using them for. For checking websites or scraping data, residential or rotating proxies may be best.
