What I have learned over many years of being an entrepreneur is of course there will be ups and downs.
But I’ve learned it is not what happens to me, but how I RESPOND to what happens to me.
I used to go tell everyone about my problems and what was going wrong in my life.
And misery loves company, right? So it was not hard to find someone to listen and then they would tell me about their problems.
I have found that the more I think about and talk about my problems and focus on them, the more I get OF THEM.
Realizing it was 100% my responsibility to change my thoughts and my life, I began down a road of transformation.
I have done much personal development over the past three decades and want to be a person that has a positive effect on people.
Meaning after someone interacts with me, whether it’s online or in person, I want them to feel BETTER rather than worse after being in my presence.
AND something super important I learned from one of my mentors is to BE RESOURCEFUL.
Rather than run to him and ask him questions about some technical thing or some answer that could be found through a support chat on a website or a youtube video, I began to figure things out on my own.
And by doing this, I was empowered. Not that I wouldn’t ask questions about things I couldn’t find, but for the things that would take up his time that I could find out on my own.
I found that I could find the answer on my own and respect his time.
I heard this story from a well known marketer years ago and it stuck with me.
He said he would join program after program and would complain to his sponsor/mentor that he was not getting results. And he was miserable.
He said his mentor told him, it’s not the traffic, it’s not the program, it’s not the leads, IT’S YOU!
This hurt alot, he said.
But he recognized his mentor was right and started to work on his mind and his personal development more than looking for the secret traffic source.
And in time, he was one of the top income earners in any company he joined and now today he makes multiple millions of dollars a year online.
If you’re ever feeling down and like you’re not good enough and aren’t seeing results, here is probably the most powerful advice I can give you that I learned from a millionaire.
Write down ten wins that have happened in your life.
It does not matter how small they are.
Then every time you get down on yourself, go to this list and read it and say wow, here are ten things that prove I’m a winner.
And to supercharge this, each night before you go to sleep, write down 3 wins you had for the day. It doesn’t matter how small.
Instead of thinking what is wrong in your life and what you didn’t get done, you are affirming to yourself before you go to sleep, you are winner.
Telling yourself something right before you go to sleep is super powerful.
And in time, you’re going to start to think, talk and act like a winner.
