Step 1: Go to one.dash.cloudflare.com and create a new Cloudflare account (if you already have an account, just log in).
Step 2: On the start page, click "Set up Zero Trust" and select the first option.
Step 3: In the "Team Name" section, enter anything you want and click "Next" (make sure to remember this to log in later).
Step 4: Select "Free Plan" and enter your personal information (it’s free :D).
Step 5: After completing Step 4, click the three stripes in the top left corner, select "Gateway." On the "Overview" page, click "Add Device" in the "Recommendation" section to set up.
Step 6: Click "Download WARP" for your current device and return to the previous page (skip this if you’re already using 1.1.1.1 on iOS/Android).
Step 7: In "Define enrollment policies," enter the email you want to use to log in to WARP (it doesn’t have to be the same as your Cloudflare account email). (If you want to set up more, go to the menu on the left → Access → Policies).
Step 8: In "Set service mode," leave it as default "Both traffic and DNS" (only change this if you know what you’re doing).
Step 9: In "Set default routing," choose "Exclude mode" (again, only change if you know what you’re doing).
Step 10: Here you can exclude domains from going through Cloudflare; if you want, you can add those domains here.
Step 11: After completing all steps, open the 1.1.1.1 app on the device you want to use WARP+ on, tap the three stripes in the top right corner, select "Account" → "Login to Cloudflare Zero Trust," and enter the information you set up in Steps 3 and 7.
Step 12: If everything goes smoothly (no "Device not registered" error, no verification code error, etc.), you’re all set. You can share/use Zero Trust on up to 50 different devices (if you want).
🫵
After finishing, log in with the new account you just created in the 1.1.1.1 VPN app on your iPhone. Log in and connect 1–2 times so the server can recognize your device.
Special: Setup for Laptop Use:
Once you’ve finished all the steps, go to the Gateway section. Select "DNS Locations." Create a Name and choose DNS over HTTPS (DoH); leave the other three options (IPv4-6 and TLS) unchecked. Using it on a laptop is different from a phone. I’ve tested it and it works well on a laptop—no network disconnections. On phones, it’s automatic, but on laptops, you need to set it up manually.
