Alright guys, going to be brief:
Buy a high GB USB. Really high GB like 100gb or so.
Root OS - use a linux distro. An open source one like mint will suffice or if you have a super computer than qubes is good too. Keep in mind you may potentially need to burn your laptop so yeah.
Once installed you will want to install a few things:
Bleachbit
Veracrypt
Bleachbit is used to keep your PC clean essentially. It's kind of what it says on the tin. It's kind of like digital bleach and you should use it as such.
Veracrypt - this has 2 uses one to encrypt your thumb drive. and 2.) to encrypt your pc/laptop drive.
Make sure you use different passwords/pins for each. I won't divulge what algorithms to use as you can likely work that out yourself.
For network security I will keep this even briefer -
1.) Use a VPN. Don't pay with a card and make sure you research your VPN properly before buying. I recommend Mullvad but each to their own. After this setup wireguard. Now your VPN may support it out the box IE Mullvad but if not set it up.
2.) Make sure to use tor bridges. Change these often. Once or twice a week will suffice.
After all of this then install virtual box and then whoinix. Make sure you store the VM's on the USB. Then install another OS this will be your box I suppose. You will do your misdeeds here and you can potentially split different VM's for different functions although make sure they have their own whonix instance. On whonix you need to run the gateway box and setup tor bridges there too. Make sure they are different again to your main os again. THEN finally route your traffic from your whoinix gateway to your other VM os. ON the VM OS install another VPN and then your done.
