Lost in the multiverse, you embark on a journey to find your place in each world and in the cosmos. Jump, climb, swing, swim, toss, and grapple your way through 10 diverse universes, each with its own distinct art style, setting, and story. Each level of the game is painted or drawn in a different physical medium, scanned, then brought to life in the game. Absolutely no digital art was used in the making of the game. The Multi-MediumYou could beat the game in about 2 to 3 hours, although I didn’t try to get any of the collectibles, you can explore the levels to find hidden walls and such, so maybe you can get another hour out of it. For the most part, the game is a simple puzzle platformer, but it does introduce some creative twists on the gameplay with each location. I do think the visual escapism is the main attraction here, and I actually thought the ending was very cute. Each level has a visual gimmick, plus the narrative has some endearing quality to it, even though it’s not particularly deep. I am not a huge fan of any games with instant kills, it can be a little frustrating to constantly watch the loading if you keep clipping on the hitbox, that said, this game never really gets hard enough, both in terms of platforming and puzzles, I don’t think that I got stuck for more than 30 seconds in any section. I guess you could say the game is designed to be completed, it’s super chill for what it is.
