vault 7 is a series of documents that WikiLeaks began releasing on March 7, 2017 that details activities of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to exercise electronic surveillance and computer warfare. The files, dated between 2013 and 2016, include details about the agency's software capabilities, such as the ability to compromise smart TVs, smartphone operating systems (including Apple's iOS and Google's Android), as well as other operating systems such as Windows, macOS and Linux.1
