VPN SECURITY GUIDE (1 Viewer)

Hi, this is a follow up to my previous thread, where I said I would post a guide to best use Mullvad VPN's services. So here we go

MULLVAD VPN, is the probably the best VPN in market, and no... I'm not joking around. We heard about the glowies raid to the company and how they came back empty handed so it only strengthens the claim that Mullvad doesn't keep logs. Anyways, I should stop preaching now.

I assume you have Mullvad or any equivalent VPN, but I'm gonna focus on Mullvad although most things apply to others as well.

MULLVAD:
Go to settings of the VPN client and select VPN settings, it should something like this:

1. Disable "local network sharing"
2.turn on dns content blocker as you see fit
3. enable IPv6 if your ISP supports it
4. MUST! : ENABLE KILLSWITCH
5. It blocks your access to internet if your connection dies or something else happens, helps from accidentally leaking data
Lockdown Mode: Similar to Killswitch but also quite opposite, it only allows you to access the internet when connected to VPN and blocks off the access if disconnected or quit the app. Don't use it myself but you can look into it. Enable auto connect and launch on startup if you do.
6. Tunnel Protocol: Wireguard cuz superior in general
7. Wireguard settings: ONLY DO THE FOLLOWING:
enable obfuscation
enable multihop bascially double vpn as in nordvpn
enable quantum secure tunnel
and leave the ports to automatic
8. You are all done!
