I was somewhat shocked and surprised when something that could have compromised my crypto holdings happened last night. Fortunately I was vigilant to it and I just want to warn the rest of the community on a just in case basis.
So I cleared my clipboard again and this time I copy pasted into a NotePad document. And yet again it changed. Next I wrote the address manually into my Notepad document to copy paste and the stupid thing changed again.
So last night I wanted to move some free LiteCoin to Coinbase from Dutchy Faucet but first of all I needed to add the sending address to Dutchy. This is a process I have done several times for a range of currencies. This was not the article (about Cardano) which I intended to publish today - maybe tomorrow time allowing.
So as usual I went to the correct place on Coinbase to copy the LiteCoin address ready for pasting and when I pasted the address that appeared was different to my Coinbase address. So I tried again with the same result. I then looked at my clipboard and cleared it (Windows Button + V - I didn't know this previously). I then copied it again and pasted and yet again it changed it.So far so good.
